Hi kids,
This is the second time I've written this blog; right when I was finishing it up the first time, I somehow deleted it completely. :-\ Meh. Let's see if I can get through this one....
Yesterday was a day of ups and downs. To start things off, I got a telephone call early in the morning. I thought it was going to be the plumber calling and telling me what time he could come down (for those of you who aren't caught up, you should read my last blog, "OMG! Momma fell!") But instead of hearing the plumber on the other end, I hear someone better: the owner of the house! Yay! He must have gotten my E-Mail (I wasn't sure if he was going to or not). He called and I re-explained the situation of the broken pipe and how we couldn't find the water main, etc. He told me how to get to the access panel in the basement and shut off the outside water line, so that the pipe would stop gushing water.
Ok, so it's not as dramatic as I'm making it out to be, but I have to catch your attention *somehow*....
Oh my gosh, kids! What a day it's been, and I've not left the house! Allow me to give you an account of my not-so-exciting day, because I don't have to go to bed, as school is cancelled for the second day in a row tomorrow:
When I last blogged, I told you that I was snowed in--literally! After someone helped me shovel it away from the door, I continued on with my day. First, I decided that in order to be prepared for class tomorrow, I needed to read my history assignment. After that, I periodically came on Oasis and responded to messages and the like.
Hi kids,
Yesterday, I started my first day of school for the term. Things actually went pretty well. I got a chance to meet some new people and see what my new classes are going to be all about, so yay for that!
I think I'm really going to enjoy my Medieval world history class. Before class started, I sat down in the front row (like the nerd that I am) and patiently waited for class to start. Other people had trickled in, but they were sitting in the back rows. So here I am, the ONLY one in the front row. Then, this really hot guy comes in, and instead of sitting in the back or in the middle like everybody else, he comes and sits one seat away from me! He could have sat a number of other places, including on the other end of the front row, but he chose not to. And I *swear* that he was looking at me throughout class, but I can't be sure. Maybe he was just looking for another sister, or maybe he wasn't. We'll see what happens tomorrow. :-D
Hi kids,
Yes, Momma is still alive, as a matter of fact. :) I wish I had some juicy gossip as to why I haven't been on in several months, but the reason is actually quite lame. You see, I moved over the summer, and just never got around to getting the internet hooked up. *lol* See, told you it was lame. Anyhow, I'm housesitting at the moment, so I have access to internet; I thought I'd post one of my world-famous, random postings to let you know what's going on right now in my life. Here we go....
Hi kids,
Momma just got back from an interesting experience at the all-ages club here in Portland....
Hi kids,
As per usual, it's been a long time since I last wrote. In the scheme of things, not a whole lot has happened, although there are some fabulous stories I have about the past month or so that I may write down.
Happy Sunday!
Momma's been VERY bad in not writing lately, but there've been quite a few things going on in the past couple of weeks, and I needed them to settle down before I could write something about them. So here's the scoop:
Hi kids,
Last you heard, I went on a date on Monday, and that was ultra fabulous. We didn't talk on Tuesday, but we did have some interaction last night....
Hi kids,
As promised, I'd tell you about what went on during Debauche...err...I mean, Pride Weekend. Unfortunately, I won't be able to finish the story as it hasn't finished yet; but it'll be a nice start. By the way, when you see this: @@@@@@@@@ that means that the story is turning into a PG-13+ story as opposed to a Rated-G story.
Happy Post-Portland Pride, kids!
Momma's still trying to tie up some loose ends with respect to this past Pride Weekend, but let me tell you, there will be a story (or two) to be told.
Happy Weekend, all!
This is going to be quite the weekend, if things go the way I'd like for them to. Shortly, I'm going to leave for Waterfront Park in Portland, OR to attend the Pride festivities.
Happy Tuesday to you all!
It seems I was due in for one. About 3 or 4 times a year, I happen to fall MADLY for some boy. I guess the last one I really fell for was earlier in the winter (but let us not bring up THOSE old wounds)...so I should have seen this one coming. Needless to say, I didn't.
Since I have nothing better to write (or brag) about, I thought I'd tell you about my night at work last night.
So I figured it's time for me to complain about things as of late:
School just needs to end for the year. I love my teachers and all my classes, but honestly, this is killing me. Typical day for me: I get up at 6:30 a.m., go to school, come home at 3:30 p.m. and get ready for work, and go to work and come back at 11:30 p.m. or midnight. Ack! It's too much for me sometimes!
Work needs to get its act together and quit pissing me off so much.
