The Bible, of course. Even if you're never affected directly by it, either because you don't read it or you don't believe in it, you're immersed in a culture that, though it has changed much, is still much rooted in this one Book.

Many people, most, really, in America, do, however, believe in the Bible through one interpretation or another.

So I spent a good portion of today on a trail in a nearby gulch, sitting, and writing, trying to crystallize the spirit of Gandhi onto paper so I could put it on FB.

I kinda failed, here's what I have so far, but I need more:

So, you probably know, in Colorado, they passed an amendment to their constitution allowing marijuana to be used, bought, and sold by adults over 21, recreation-ally.
Another initiative here in my state of Washington passed, same story, by a healthy margin. (More people here voted for weed than for Obama)

Now, that's pretty fucking awesome.

So, on December 6, I think, Washington will be, for about a month, the only state to have marijuana legal for use, till Colorado joins us.

But all of this has sort of set off a legal clusterfuck.

Anyway...
I've spent what seems like an unhealthy amount of time on the Internet over the past few days, researching, for the most part, 2 things.
Positively, I've been looking very hard into German exchange programs, to spend my senior year, next year, in Germany or Austria in an immersion program. I'm already in the middle an application for a scholarship, and I've just started and need to discuss with my parents the application I'm starting for a host of others.

Now, this is something that's a little weird.
My general philosophy on sexuality is don't worry about it, if you like someone, you like someone, take it person by person and don't worry about labels.
And that's still my philosophy.

But something interesting that I've noticed, for quite a while, and has become a little more poignant just recently.

Well, the exchange student of the last week and a half left today.
First thing's first, I'm sure you're all wondering, yes, he was hot, gorgeous, all the Austrian exchange guys were gorgeous.
Another thing, they were all taller than me. Now, I know I'm like short, like 5'8", but they every one were inches higher.
One was 6'6".

What was it like?
Well, today, he left, and that ended up leaving me about 10X as depressed as I thought I'd be.

I'm going to be hosting an Austrian student for about 2 weeks in a couple here. From the 18th to the 30th, this month, I'll have some Austrian guy at my disposal, and I don't know much about him, but I chose him cause he looked sorta cute, and his profile I got to choose from said he especially likes soccer and ultimate, and I just happen to be on a soccer team, and an ultimate team.
I hope we'll get along.
