That is a fun song to play on guitar. I've been trying to get good at playing the arpeggio at the end. I've been playing guitar so much lately that, picking up my bass yesterday, I was surprised at how fat the strings were. I'm going to need to sell this piece of shit Fender Squier sometime soon and get one that doesn't sound like shit, go out of tune after an hour, or have fucked up frets that don't play the notes right. If only I had $1,400 for the Peavey Devin Townsend Signature PXD Vicious 7 String Baritone. One day...
Not only is Dev a master of beautiful progressive composition, but his album Ziltoid the Omniscient is one of the best heavy metal albums I've heard. He's the only person who can actually make comedic extreme metal.
Anyway, I'm going to Boston next week for a school field trip. I'm going to share a room with three freshmen for some reason, but I know one of them and he's cool. None of this is interesting to whomever is reading, though, I assume. It doesn't seem very relevant.
Among the places/events I'll soon be attending is an Animal Collective concert this June. Deciding to go there required passing up a James Blake show, which was not easy at all to do; it was in fact extremely difficult. But my friends said that I should see Animal Collective and 4chan told me to go to James Blake, so both of those made me want to see AnCo. They have some trippy shows.
And I'll conclude this with an anecdote of a very strange occurrence from about an hour ago. I hooked up my stereo system again because it was disconnected, and it started receiving broadcasts from a Christian radio station. I don't have a radio receiver. Changing the volume and input of the preamp did nothing to affect it. Turns out RCA cables can pick up radio transmissions.
