I think she really hits the nail on the head with regard to the Duality of human nature and the myriad of people who don't identify with being 'Straight'. Unfortunately, humans do have a annoying tendency to 'box' themselves into categories, without allowing room for change.
Everyone changes with education and experience, it's inevitable. There are still far too many people who go through life with blinder's on. In time, hopefully that will also change. Tillett's efforts are an important step in that direction.
