Hi!

I've been trying to be good lately! I didn't go out yesterday (it was boring though) and though I am going out all night tonight I'll be taking it easy tomorrow and doing homework! Or maybe I will go buy things, I don't know!

I have a cool outfit planned today! It lights up! I'll show pictures tomorrow! I also paid off all my debts today with money left over so that's pretty cool.

I'm in a happy mood today, yay! I also use too many exclamation marks when I'm in a good mood.

I have disallowed PMs since I don't answer them. I have around 7 unread right now. Rather than let them pile up I have disabled the function.

Check my user page for a whole bunch of links that will allow you to contact me and stalk my internet profiles.

I am not a fan of FB.

I'm trying to find a way to back out of FB without offending anyone. Haven't figured that one out yet.

If you refuse to read messages posted here... why are you willing to read them in other venues?

If you don't want to use Facebook, then don't use Facebook. It's your choice and people shouldn't take it personally.

I don't check my Oasis inbox as previously stated. I do check my Facebook and Tumblr inboxes, and you'll have more chance of a reply if you post there.

I apologize for the inconvenience. I'll remove those links now.

It is your choice to ignore those PMs your friends have posted here.

Why should someone not "take it personally" when he is "told" so directly that his/her PMs to you are unwelcome?

To "delay" opening a PM for a while can be understood: but you have informed us that your decision is intentional and deliberate. This is hurtful... and if you cannot grok that, look up the symptoms for Asperger's Syndrome.

btw: Only the sender of an Oasis PM can tell when his message is being ignored! That person might reasonably wonder, "Am I the only one being ignored?" He/she cannot tell...

And... yes... I understood Jeff's comment (below): PMs are automatically made available to all new registrants; disabling that feature is the user's choice!

First of all, insulting me

First of all, insulting me and telling me I'm autistic won't make me re-enable my inbox. If I'm not mistaken there are autistic users on this website, as well.

I was talking about Facebook, since you said that you haven't found a way to not have people offended if you wanted to opt out.

I simply don't want to use Oasisjournals.com for private interaction. This goes for everyone who could be wanting to send me a PM since my inbox is blocked. Therefore, it is not personal since it goes for everyone using the site. I may or may not re-enable it at some point but it's ultimately my decision. Same as if you deactivated your Facebook account or your e-mail address.

I have just given you a myriad of ways to interact with me off-site and you were unhappy with them. Of the few people that I interact with from Oasis, I do it off site via one of those. If that's not satisfactory, I really don't know what to tell you.

And, in the future, it will be my choice to ignore any whining about private messages.

I'm sorry...

that you feel that I've insulted you. This would be so far out of my nature...

You surely must be aware that I've always held you in high regard...

However, I'm simply not prepared to continue our conversations on an open-media such as FB where security and privacy of communication is never a "sure thing!"

To the best of my knowledge, PMs here on Oasis are totally private... and, I'm quite confident that that excludes Jeff as well! Or... have you had an experience with Oasis PMs that say otherwise?

So... one question (that should be in a private communication... but...):

How would you compare the colors and "choreography" you experience under LSD with those depicted in the Dream Sequence of Atys? Just as magical... or, maybe not?

It's okay.

The Facebook inbox is private, though I have heard that there have been some instances where inbox messages were made public during the implementation of the timeline profile layout. This appears to have been fixed.

Oasis PMs are private, you're quite correct.

Conceptual representations like that dream sequence are just that - concepts. You also experience performance art as a performance rather than first-hand. A real-time representation cannot represent the passing in time that occurs while on LSD since being under influence breaks down all current ideas of space/time, which live performance cannot due to physical limitations.

are enabled by default on all accounts. So, anyone not receiving them is doing so by choice.
