Test fest

Right now I have to sign up to take the ACT, in case I want to be a veterinarian again. Gosh ya' know I hate tests. I'll explain why.

Firstly I don't see how tests enforce learning. I think they just test students' memories to see if they can remember class lessons. I never liked tests, I feel like they're a waste sometimes. Like it takes up an hour of class time that could've been used to teach a new standard. And that's the thing LAUSD cares about the most: following standards like if we're fucking robots. Also they want to stop giving money to any class or activity that isn't math or english. Because that's what it's come to.

The bastards who give out the AP test are just capitalists. They make their "special, good in your transcript" tests so fucking expensive and to top it off, they impose fees on canceling scores or changing the college you want to send it to, even though most people are likely to change their minds after they make their first selection. Dig it!

And ya know what else I don't get, why do they make tests timed? Is it a race to see who finishes first? Because I was told "it doesn't matter if you finish first, it matters if you get it correct."

So get rid of tests and make an emphasis on homework and learning. That's all.

Agreed. On all of the above.

Agreed. On all of the above. I'm taking three AP exams soon, and that altogether cost my mom over two hundred dollars! I'm taking four AP courses next year, so that'll be even more money.

I mean, anyone can memorize facts for a test. But after the test, it's all forgotten, mostly, because you're not really learning the material, you're memorizing it and recalling it for a test and then it's gone.
