i find that amazing that your body starts a new

except some part of your eye, so if i poke you in the eye ive touched you on some way that will never fade

Really?

I would think external cells - skin and all that - would have much faster turnover, brain tissue would be rather slower, and cartilage would hardly be replaced at all....

Your way is more poignant.

I was wrong!
Brain cells don't come back, at all, but some quick search has shown me that this is nothing but myth. It is a nice one, though - I prefer it to the real small deaths of flesh!
