Uh oohhh... Help!!

TAK757's picture

Me and my sisters best friend have been talking for a while, she is a lesbian as well as i am. I really like her. She has invited me to parties, concerts and hockey games to go to together. My sister doesn't want us to hangout because that would be 'awkward'. But her friend keeps inviting me and i don't want to be rude!
What should i do?
Go against my sister?
Or blow a chance at a relationship?
Help!!

What's the age

What's the age difference?

I heard of an unspoken rule that once you've known a guy for more than 10 minutes, his sister's off-limits. Probably the same with lesbians; tbh I can understand why your sister is freaking out a little.

There are loads of other nice lesbian girls out there, it's probably more hassle than it's worth. At least one person in the three would end up feeling alienated.

Every situation's different, but I sure wouldn't like having my brother lingering around my relationship like a bad odour.

Can't help who you fall for,

Can't help who you fall for, but you can help how you respond. Don't tell me you have no agency in the whole situation!

I'd say talk to your sister about it. She might be fine with the whole thing, and your problem's sorted.
