I'm an optimist. I'm a hopeless, foolish optimist with a blind and unreasonable faith that everything is and will be all right - and somehow, it always is.
I really like the way you just described yourself, the pessimistic optimist... Would there be a difference between that and, say, an optimistic pessimist?
Ah the beauties of being an optimist.
I think the optimistic pessimist would be the one kidding themselves thinking the outcome would be a good one but knowing that it would end badly? What do you think?
And I also like the way you described being an optimist haha,
Mild pessimist. I'm delighted every time something goes right, but hardly surprised when things don't work out.

I'm a pessimist but the voices in my head are annoying optimistic, and sometimes they build up my hopes too much. Because of this I try to stay neutral.

Neither. I am a realist. But my overall mood tends to shift, so some days I lean towards pessimism while other days I lean towards optimism. I've found that there are very few things about my disposition and personality that remain consistent.
Frankly, I'd rather be a pessimist, it's easier.
But overall, the overall trend I think is I'm an optimist, whether I'd like to be one or not, I tend to see the good in people, to see even in my darkest moments the future and the opportunity that it holds, how things can always change for the better, especially if you work towards it.
I guess I'd have to say a combination between an optimist and a realist.
Except when i get depressed.
