He holds in his arms the shuddering child;
He reaches his farmstead with toil and dread,—
The child in his arms lies motionless, dead.

I like clean humor, just not exclusively.

"A loving man and woman in a committed relationship can marry. Dogs, no matter what their relationship, are not allowed to marry. How should society treat gays and lesbians in committed relationships? As dogs or as humans?"
Humour is Humour. I mean, it doesn't really matter what the subject is... If it's funny, it's funny. I find any topic funny as long as the joke is well-written.
I don't get people who get butthurt over jokes... The point of most jokes is that they're someone else's tragedy. Comedy = Tragedy + time, I believe, is the equation.
Anyways, humour is great. Very great stuff, very powerful.
Shadenfroide? or would that fall under something else?
