Haven't ordered or eaten..

...steak since long before any reader here was born! :(

To avoid encouraging you to think that I'm totally "screwed up", I did order 2 pork chops just 3 days ago: Tasty... but egregiously over-cooked :(

Sorry... really!

Dracofangxxx's picture

I'm not really a fan of pork, to be honest,

I find it much too dry... Even when it's not overcooked. Euch.

but bro get on that steak thing. cause. Yeah. Steaks are awesome. Go beef!

I like my steak the way I like your bacon...

Burnt.

But in actuality, I don't eat steak. I find most meat distasteful, not out of moral reasoning, but simply because I do. I prefer fish.

The father now gallops, with terror half wild,
He holds in his arms the shuddering child;
He reaches his farmstead with toil and dread,—
The child in his arms lies motionless, dead.

As a vegan...

I prefer my steak to remain living tissue on a cow.

Huh?

I thought only steers were butchered for steaks?

jeff's picture

Eh...

I don't keep track of which animals ya'll murder for which parts. They all end up in some form of food product.

I'll be kind...

...and will not attempt to elucidate.

I don't want to interrupt your preparations for the odyssey eastward! :)

Meh...

I've been to restaurants where it said they start the blue rare steaks at 90 degrees :P That's just like leaving it outside on a hot day.
Anyway, I don't have steak that often, I haven't felt in the mood for very meaty things recently, but if I do, I like it medium with peppercorns.
My family always gets medium rare, and wonder why I don't, but I just don't like it that tender, I kinda like it a bit tougher. And peppery, very peppery.
