Am I a genetic defect? A flaw in the chain of evolution?

A biological blunder, a scientific oddity?

A freak of nature?

Well....

Science-wise, you're only a failure or a mistake (although, science-wise, even the successes are accidental) if you never reproduce....
Humanity-wise is another matter. Lots of people make contributions to humanity and are totally worthwhile people without ever having children, and vice versa, I suppose.

Maybe to be more specific with the question?

I was just wondering if

I was just wondering if homosexuality is some sort of accident of nature. Like, what if I'm gay because something is messed up in my DNA? Humans are heterosexual because it keeps our race alive. It's just nature. What I am ultimately goes against nature.

It's just...really weird to think about.

Eh

Evolutionarily, you want to have as many children as possible.
But realistically, we're far too fucking successful already, people like the Duggar family having what 20 children are just raping the earth, we don't need more people, we're just fine.
You with a woman that you love at some point in the future would do far more good caring for a child or children that has no home, rather than getting your own. :P

Ah, this is true. There are

Ah, this is true. There are what, 10 billion people on the planet? So really, gay people are doing the world a favor by not producing children.

Hit the nail right on the head!

the world is far too overpopulated.
