So first week of classes went well. I've only got six and a half contact hours a week, which is super wierd and leaves me with a giant midweek gap between Monday and Friday when I've got no classes. But the classes themselves look to be fun. Though my Lit and Film class is giant for an English class. It takes place in a lecture hall and I don't like that aspect of it. Quota all your english courses, guys, come on now.
I have yet to go into town with my blockmates, mostly because the only ones who actually talk to me like I'm not three-years-old (when they talk to me at all) are the French girl and the American guy in my flat, and the American guy doesn't go out much and the French girl has found other French people to hang out with.* I don't know, sitting around getting ignored whenever I try to participate in conversations while everyone plays super visual drinking games isn't actually my idea of a good night. That being said I did go into town to some of the gay clubs with some people from the queer group on Thursday, and that was pretty awesome, even if there was lesbian drama by the end of the night. And I was dancing and holding hands a lot with this one bloke, but I'm sure he's gay (fuck you, female body) and I know he was pretty drunk, but whatever, it was still pretty enjoyable to have him hanging off of me for half the night. I also didn't get home until three, and I had a ten AM lecture the next morning, which was super awesome. And there was even a fire drill right before I was going to leave for it, because the universe just likes me that much. -sigh-
I am craving cake so badly, you guys. So badly.
I... was going to write gender things here and how I've realized that I'm actually kind of lying everytime I say I'm totally ok with having breasts, but typing is hard when all I've consumed today is coffee and beer.
Oh! And one of my favourite bands broke up last saturday. That was pretty terrible.
*Have sex with/get high with/get drunk with/speak French with, idk. It's awkward because none of our blockmates actually like her friends.
