There's nothing good about it. In most months there's a holiday...
In September all we have is fucking Labor day.
As Andy Rooney says, when I think of Labor, I think of men pounding in railroad spikes in an arid desert someplace. I imagine that 99% of kids on Labor day only think about how school is starting, not appreciating the labor that everyone does all the time.
Memorial day, that means a little more to me, I might think of veterans and shizz on Memorial day and appreciate them.
President's day, nah.
Anyway, Labor Day is all it has, that and school starting, which isn't too terrible, but still, and the end of summer, the start of fall, which is pretty sad.
Its only virtue is that for the entire month I'm kinda appreciating school after the summer that is far too long. That's why it's only the second worst month ever, the worst is May, because in May, it has nothing to get excited over, and I'm also really starting to fatigue on school. May is the longest, most dragged out month.
In other news, Lucas, my Facebook husband, is the cutest little kid ever.
I mean, he's 11, so not in that way, but he's awesome, and a real cutey :P
In other other news, I'll talk about school starting and what that means to me.
First period is German ll, which is fine, I know that teacher, and she's actually pretty awesome, unless someone is lazy or disobedient she get's SO PISSED and starts shouting and throws things sometimes. But I'm usually not disobedient, and I'm usually not lazy at school, it's at home where I'm lazy.
2nd is Orchestra. I know that teacher, and he's pretty cool, but it seems like he intentionally searches out reasons to yell at us and insult us and get really mad.
3rd is WHAP (World History AP). My brother had that teacher, and said she's terrible. Like, he got a 5 on the AP exam, but got a B- in the class, because (so he says) he didn't do the study apparatus for the test, which would take hours. Well, that might get my mom off the trail, but I'm skeptical. I think there were perhaps several things he didn't turn in...
Anyway, I HATEHATEFUCKINGHATE the thought of a required study packet. If he got a 5, he obviously didn't need it, now did he?
A teacher that will make me do things her way will drive me up the wall quite quickly.
Now, theoretically, this will be my hardest class, but I imagine I can bullshit it quite a bit to get the workload down significantly, but it still might be an annoying amount...
4th is Pre-Calc, with a teacher I don't know and haven't heard anything about. I don't imagine it'll be that hard, I'm good at math.
5th is English, with another unknown one... My English l teacher said it worked out that English l was actually harder than English ll, and even English l wasn't too bad, even though that teacher was the only one I really really respected and did all the work for.
6th is Physics AP, with another unknown. I have no fucking clue what this class will be like AT ALL, but any AP science kinda scares me... O.O
So, my brother said Sophomore year had by far the worst teachers he ever had any year in it, but the worst were the WHAP teacher, and the English ll honors one, which I apparently avoided, seeing as her name is not on my schedule.
I already kinda like my first 2 teachers, heard terrible things about the 3rd, and know nothing about the other 3.
I'm hoping that I'll like at least 2 of them. That's my hope.
Well, I'm actually not really at all nervous for tomorrow, cause I ain't no newbie anymore! Hooray!
It's been, by and large, a summer that had several good and several fantastic elements to it, but was largely boredom and shit, and more importantly was FAR TOO LONG. I wanna go to the year round system where there's more, shorter breaks. Summer Break came from letting kids out of school so they could help out at the farm.
Maybe I'm mistaken, but I haven't seen too many farms in our little suburb-of-Seattle town...
Whatevs... They also got rid of Mid-Winter Break, which I liked...
I won't be able to do anything about either.
Well, nighty night Oasies, and I is back on "regular" schedule tomorrow!

Ouch,
I'm sure you'll do fine in Physics after all you're quite the scholar.
