isn't it strange how things don't really end in real life
in stories everything ends because there is no choice, there are no words and no ideas, the human mind is limited
so we create endings because we don't understand our own.
sometimes i want to come to conclusion now because i feel like there is nothing else to say, no more ideas or words come
because a story which has a finite ending will neccesarily inspire another
or live forever
...no?

Uhh...
Jobs end, relationships end, bottles of lube end, not sure why you think nothing ends.
Personally, I'm ending a 16+ year run in California in a few months, during which a lot of friendships will end, change, morph. New things will also begin.
You just don't have enough perspective, or want clarity/closure to arrive ahead of schedule.

Summer's nearly gone...
Do the prospects for an updated Oasis still remain?
Well...
I have the money, but the NYC move and future unemployment are making me hold until I land east coast employment.
It isn't just an Oasis revamp, which would be easy. It is an Oasis revamp/rebranding piggybacked onto a new commercial startup venture being done in parallel, so a lot of moving parts. ;-)
I'm actually hoping I'm unemployed for a bit just to get the business plans finalized, etc. But my friend's startup in NYC is catching on like crazy, so I may immediately flip into working there, so who knows, hehehe.

but even if you're out of
but even if you're out of california and your situation changes, you won't change, your past won't change. everything is an influence + inspiration for the self.
and the self never dies - even after a physical death your memories will haunt others, your contributions to the planet will remain, no matter how significant or otherwise. thus everything is eternal xxxx
Depends...
on the kind of change you're talking about. Just look on Oasis, how many people write here for 2-3 years, go back and re-read their initial entries and don't recognize that person. What is influence if not a catalyst for change?
And I think I've only haunted a few people, so far...
This does remind me of a good book, though: A Brief History of the Dead by Kevin Brockmeier, check it out...

Kwote
The only constant is change, continuing change, inevitable change, that is the dominant factor in society today. No sensible decision can be made any longer without taking into account not only the world as it is, but the world as it will be.

even though society is
even though society is constantly changing, though, you will constantly see recalls in art to the past. what has already gone by is forever an inspiration. and as we come closer to the technological apex of civilization, their influence is undeniable - access to information is unlimited, categorized, and easy to access. we're running out of areas to expand in, therefore we must rebuild from tradition from the past. everything is a cycle.
