Teachers/coaches

Am I the only one who geniunely loves teachers and coaches? I love learning and stuff. I've always been the one to like, actually TALK to my teachers, and treat them like humans instead of caretakers. But in orchestra, in my section, there's this one girl who's also on Colourguard, and she's always disrespectful to the person teaching her, being lazy and saying that she won't practice things that we're going to do.

And that really bugs me. Like, I LOVE my teachers. My private lessons teacher is actually like honestly my friend. We joke around, tell stories, she lets me complain and lean on her shoulder, etc. and she's just super cool. I always seem to connect to my teachers a whole lot.

So why do people act like they're torturing them by teaching? It makes me really mad, especially when we have a super awesome teacher.

Our captain on guard last year is this adorable gay boy, and he's so sweet. He's really talented too. So now he's coming back and teaching our guard a little, and I LOVE having him there. He jokes around with me and the girls, he's always really nice and funny, he tells us stories, and he doesn't make us feel bad about failure. So I like, told him that he was my favourite and he was like OH MY GOSHHH YOU JUST MADE MY DAY, SHELBY

He was like "You're not allowed to ask me what time it is! You have to be discreet, and do it in code! Like... Hey, K, how much did that shirt cost?

oh you know... 5:37!

He's awesome 8D

so like I dunno, I haaaate people who act like they're too good to learn stuff. like you just look stupid if you act like that, you pussies. rrghgh.

On a slightly better note, going into physical therapy tomorrow for a reevaluation of my body. Gonna see if I'm getting better, and whether or not I really DO have arthritis. Kinda worried!...

Anyone here doing the Pottermore thing?

1. i feel so much the same

1. i feel so much the same way as you about teachers. maybe i learned it from my mom, who is a teacher, but they're the most valuable people we encounter. have you ever seen any of Taylor Mali's poetry? he has one called "what teachers make" that you'd probably like.

2. pottermore is a social media site designed to be a relatively see-through curtain to the man on the inside. the man being Mr. A Way To Sell EBook Versions of Harry Potter Independently So That J K Rowling Gets 100% of the Revenue.

Most of the teachers in my

Most of the teachers in my school are pretty damn awesome. I love a teacher who lets his/her personality show and really talks and laughs with students, and they don't have that bland, I'm-only-teaching-you-to-get-my-paycheck attitude.

But yeah. I reallyyyy hate it when the brats at my school talk back to the awesome teachers. I think we take them for granted, really. They deserve better than disrespectful jerks and a mediocre salary. I mean, some of my teachers have taught me so much more than simple textbook stuff.
