Real bad news...

So last night around 2 AM, my sister's fiancee had a seizure in his sleep and had to be taken to the emergency room.

It was really scary. I've never had anything that scary happen before. He's thankfully doing alright, but the doctors don't know why he had the seizure yet and are doing tons of tests on him.

My mom and I drove to the hospital last night when it happened to see him, and he just looked like a mess :( When I got home, it was like 4 AM. I had physical therapy this morning at 10. So I'm really tired.

PT said that she's gonna strengthen my calves and my achilles heel so that my knees will get better. Cool.

Okay I'm falling asleep as I'm writing this, I gotta go.

Oh,

I hope they can find out what the cause of the seizure was.

Agreed

Seizures are scary...
But at least, I think that seizures, while scary, also aren't particularly dangerous, unless you hit your head on the floor or something else...

They can be dangerous when...

You bite your tongue (He did) because it can cause you to bleed to death if you bite it off, or if your throw up (he did) and choke on it. Or, if left unchecked, you could have one while driving and... potentially kill more than just yourself.

So it was incredibly scary and freaky because it was like 2 am and all of a sudden, damn, he's going to the hospital.

Wishing your future brother-in-law...

a clean bill of health... and, hopefully, an explanation for what may have contributed to the seizure.

Now... It's beauty sleep time!

Hugs for Shelby? <333

Has he ever had seizures before? It could be epilepsy. But I'm not a doctor so I haven't a clue.

I'm wishing your almost-brother-in-law a full recovery. Give him a hug for me! :)
