Your Gold version still has a working battery. Mine died awhile ago and I've never been able to save my game since. :(

Actually I repaired my Gold

Actually I repaired my Gold about 4 years ago with my dad's help and some online instructions. It's possible. All you need is a watch battery, which I found in Walmart.
