But could someone please tell me how to do cool things with the text in here? Like bold or italicized words, pictures, ect.

I'm kinda helpless without a word processing system.

Replace all brackets with

Replace all brackets with the pointy < > ones.

[b]text[/b] = bold
[i]text[/i] = italics
[u]text[/u] = underline
[img src=url goes here] = picture

Not quite...

You need to make sure the second tag has a / before the b, i, or u. Otherwise, your formatting will apply to the rest of the site that follows your post when it is viewed, which just happened. ;-)
