But is asking what someone's name used to be really offensive? I can't see how it would be... They didn't choose it, and I think it's just interesting to know what they used to be called.

But some of these seem a little nitpicky. I get that saying you were born a girl would bother you, because you were always a boy, but is the term "Woman" out, too? Because that's referring to the sex, which is corrected over time.
