I was reading journals the other day (as I often do) and I think somebody said something about never being invited to parties or whatever.
It made me realize, that all throughout High School, I had only been invited to a few birthday parties and a graduation party. I didn't even realize how many parties other people went to until it was the end of senior year and my friend had been invited to so many graduation parties they had schedule conflicts.
I knew they were happening, like, those underage-drinking parties where bad stuff generally happens. But I was never invited to them and hardly ever heard about them. Hell, I was hardly ever invited to parties that didn't involve the illegal consumption of alcoholic (or other) substances.
I don't miss it though, I'll have plenty of chances to avoid those parties in college. Ahaha. Art school. That's going to be fun. I don't like parties a whole lot to begin with so I'll probably sit in my dorm/apartment/whatever blasting music to myself working on art projects while everyone else is out getting stoned/high/drunk.
Yup.
It's okay though because I'm an introvert. I honestly look forward to sitting in my room and being antisocial. XD;
And besides, I'm sure I'll find some friends who are equally as put off by the whole braincell-damaging business as I am. So it's cool.

I gotcha
I never get invited to thoes hardcore parties either. Not that I really want to ruin myself with drinking / drugs. It seems poitless to me. I would rather REMEMBER the fun I had sober and what not. Than not remember what I did last night and be hungover.
So I guess there's an advantage to being left out?
On don't worry I agree,
On don't worry I agree, what's the point of going to a party if you're not gonna remember it in the morning? :P
I like my braincells not screwed up thanks. Haha.
So yeah, as I said, I don't feel like I'm missing out.
AGree. I want to remember
AGree. I want to remember fun times, not get smashed/wasted, forget it all later, and regret it all, too..
Me too. Not invited to
Me too. Not invited to parties, but I'm not a partying type, anyway.
Let's us antisocial people get together and play a board game...
As long as it's not
As long as it's not Monopoly. The last time I played Monopoly my little sister kicked everyone's ass. Ahahaha. She got all of the train stations. XD
But board games are fun, as long as they're not Monopoly. :P
those parties are lame.
those parties are lame. parties should be close friends, video games, and cozy basements. also soda.
Haha I agree. Only, I never
Haha I agree.
Only, I never got invited to those kinds of parties either. XD;
The graduation party I went to was like that, and it was very fun.
i s'pose i always get to go
i s'pose i always get to go cuz i'm always the host. you can come to mine! but its byoc (bring your own controller) (gamecube controller, that is.)
Ohman. I hate hosting
Ohman. I hate hosting parties. If I'm at someone else's party, I can always make an excuse to leave. But if I'm hosting a party I HAVE TO BE THERE.
Aaakjfdkj I hate that. XD;
I mean, I'm usually the guy who stays late and helps clean up anyway, I just like having that option.
you help clean up?? you are
you help clean up?? you are totally so double invited!
i suppose i prefer hosting cuz i like entertaining more than being entertained, taking care of others more than I like having other people fuss. *shrug* also then i get to cook.
I got invited to one
I got invited to one graduation party, maybe two. One by someone who bullied me. The other by someone who wrote me a death threat.
Yeah, needless to say, I ended up going to zero. After graduation, I went outside took a few pictures and then walked away virtually unnoticed while everyone else hugged friends of theirs.
Hey!
I'M NOT A FREAK!!! :-)
Expression of joy made, I don't like parties either. The students in my department at college have them semi-frequently. I've gone to a couple, but I find them overly loud and crowded for the most part... and since I have no interest in getting smashed, that doesn't help. I've been much happier since I decided to just politely decline when someone invites me.
I did go to some cast parties in high school that were all right. And a couple of my friends have parties that tend to involve just a few people, snacks/dinner/pizza, and maybe a movie. Those kinds of parties, I like.
