i've recently aquired a very interesting book. this book is the base for a movement. it is The Book of Mormon. you may wonder "why does he own that?", well i went to the thrift store looking for a copy of The Torah but instead found this little "gem".
there are very many historical inaccuracies in The Book of Mormon it turns out, although it will be awhile until i'll read it since i need to get through the Holy Bible first. if i do that i will have more understanding and be able to see if anything in the Holy Bible can link with The Book of Mormon (since many citations in it go back to the Holy Bible).
i'm not sure if there is an etiquette to handling the book or anything such as that. i want to be sure i'm taking proper care of it, and treating it with respect as every religious text should be. sure i have heard things about The Book of Mormon, although like i said before i will compare and contrast once i've gotten though the Holy Bible. but i'll be sure to take good care of it just like i do with all the sacred texts i have on the shelf.

"apparently this book has been panned by critics more times than the Holy Bible."
how does this happen? it was only first published in 1830, and is less relevant than the bible... surely the bible has had more critics

i suggest getting a copy and flip though it.

When I was in Ottawa, I ran into some Mormon missionaries, and they actually had the book with them and all... yeah. Just wanted to share.
