I was just wondering, when you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? And how does this contrast with what ou want to be/what you are now?
When I was six, I wanted to be a MIGHTY MORPHIN' POWER RANGER. I wanted to be the red one, and I would punch boys because they would always tell me the red one was a boy, and I had to be pink or yellow.
When I was eight, I wanted to be a lawyer.
Now, I senior in high school, I wanna be a Concept Artist for a videogame company.
My ultimate dream company is Square, but that won't happen. A close second is Bandai/Namco, which I actually have a fair chance of getting into. And what's actually within reach is working for Disney Interactive Studios. They have a developer right here in Salt Lake, and I plan on doing an internship while I've in college, and if they like me enough, they'll pay for my school if I work for them for a certain amount of time! And did I mention, Disney Interactive pays their INTERNS something like $16/hr?
So, again, since I'm done tangent-ing, go ahead and tell me what you wanted to be when you were a kid.

Oh really?
Well what does he do?
And yeah, this time last year, I had no clue what I wanted to do with my life. Just look around at lots of things, eventually you'll fall in love with something.

I wanted to be an explorer, going through jungles with machetes!
Now maybe I want to be a photo journalist mostly dealing with Volcanology and that field.
You know, that reminds me...
...of when I was younger. I had this weird-ass dream for the longest time (like for years I thought of this at least once a day) that I wanted to run away from civilization to a jungle where I would run around naked in the wild for the rest of my life. Srsly.
And that sounds pretty damn cool. I wish you the best in that. I would fall into a lava flow because I'd want a really up-closey picture from a downward angle. And so I would die.

As a kid, I wanted to be a whole load of things ranging from a doctor to joining the air force. Now I think I just want to be an engineer with a focus on either mining or nuclear power.
I shouldn't love you but i want to, I just can't turn away
I shouldn't see you, but I can't move, I can't look away

Ah, nice.
I've never had much of an interest in the military, but being a doctor was something I'd thought about sometimes.
And engineering is cool. Good for you. :]

Things I've wanted to be:
a scientist, a vampire, a fashion designer, a photographer, a storeowner, a restaurant manager.
Not in that order, but I'm still a child, even though my body has outgrown me.

That I've shared a few dreams with you. :]
And you know, I think it's good to be a kid inside sometimes. I'm already stating to get crochety at the age of seventeen. I think I grew up too fast. .____.

Well,
I used to want to be an inventor of flying devices when I was 3-8, then just a doctor of some sort. Now I mainly want to be a geneticist, or if that can't happen at least a chemist of some sort. I love DNA!!! Yay for 6th grade CTY chemistry summer camps that start lifelong obsessions! Yay for a lot of severely scientific passwords! And way, way too much of my money spent on genetics books. I'm obsessed! And I'm the only person I know with this obsession! Uniquity! (I love saying 'uniquity'.)
Looking back on this, I may be delirious. Don't blame me for whatever I say, I'll apologize when I'm sane again.
Nice!
I have to say, that's a pretty interesting interest of yours! It's funny because I used to be an UBER-science-nerd as a kid, but now? Not so much... I took Chem last year and I hated it.

Changed a lot, but...
Growing up until 9th grade I wanted to be an Architect.
In high school I wanted to be a doctor.
Then I switched it to nurse...
But that's not where my heart is so now, if I could pick any job, I'd want to be a wildlife biologist.
My major right now is biology.
Well...
When I was a kid I wanted to get paid to read books and then I wanted to be a medical examiner. In college, I began as a zoology major (veterinarian) and switched my minor of psych to my major. Now I'm in grad school getting my degree in psych....so a psychologist it is.
