1) I just got invited out by my old group of friends. Only, in the invitation was the phrase "I'll let you know if you can come". I had to reread that one a few times.
2) I am wasting this winter break.
3) I think I'm going to take a year off from college. It's entirely for money reasons, yet I am very, very excited for it.
4)Pushing Daisies might be the greatest show of all time. If not greatest, then it definitely will be the most adorable.
5) If you read my journal, you know way more about me than any of my "facebook friends" do.
6) I'm not entirely sure why I put "facebook friends" in quotation marks.
7) Tomorrow is my first anniversary with Oasis Journals.

1) Oh jeez. That's dumb.
1) Oh jeez. That's dumb. well WE are glad to have you here. we'll never turn you away.
2) :/ as long as you waste it with things you enjoy....
3) :) thats awesome!
4) what's Pushing Daisiies?
5) same with me. Facebook...uh...well, I barely post there because I refuse to write something not happy. I hate how none of my Facebook friends notice that I havent posted on my own wall in forever. this actually REALLY bothers me.
6) Haha, thats okay. sometimes things are better left unexplained ;)
7) happy anniversary :D. we're so glad to have you here.
If you read my journals you
If you read my journals you know more about me than my family does, much less facebook "friends" (quotations because people I friend/friend me on facebook range from "hardly acquaintances" to "best friends" to "family" to "former best friends I haven't spoken to in years" and just about everywhere in between.)
Happy oasis anniversary!
1,2,3,4...
@centerfielder08: In one message, you are acting as a better friend than they are, and we've never even met. It's messed up, but I appreciate your kindness greatly.
Pushing Daisies is this show that was on ABC a while back, but it got canceled. It's pretty much amazing. Both seasons are available on instant view on netflix if you have that.
@The Bookworm: That sums up my view of facebook friends exactly.
right
my facebook friends barely know anything about me. the people on oasis know more about me than my own twin sister does.
3) That year off...
Please don't rush into this. Unless you have a chance at a year's employment that provides experience complementing your degree program, I'd be quite wary.
It's highly probable that borrowing to cover your expenses at college would be the better choice.
Also... check with your financial aid advisor at school. The chances are that you will learn of alternatives better than dropping out.
