Maybe not extremely...

Twice. But only a little bit guilty.

The first time, I was in maybe first grade. I was walking, and, too late, I realized I had stepped on a ladybug. Considering that the memory is still with me, the guilt must have been significant.

The second time, I think I was thirteen. I was in a bug-collecting phase (which later turned into collecting skulls, just picking up bugs when it was convenient to do so), but until that point I had found all my bugs already dead. This bug was alive, though, and it was so pretty with its iridescent shell. It was a beetle. I thought it was one of those...Japanese beetles, I think they're called, that are nonnative pests. I was on a camping trip in a different part of the country, so I wasn't all that familiar with the local wildlife. Anyway, I figured since it was a pest and all, it would be okay for me to kill it. So I rolled it up alive in a pair of socks and kept it there until I got home. At which point I found out that it was not a Japanese beetle, but a dogwood beetle (if I remember correctly), and not a nonnative pest at all. So I felt bad. But not extremely bad.

yes

once i stepped on an ant and i just felt horrible. the little thing was in his neat little line and i stepped on it. :( i guess i just developed an appreciation for many living things no matter how small.

More people have been slaughtered in the name of religion than for any other single reason. That, my friends, that is true perversion.

My girl is a firm believer in catch and release of all bugs. I will smash spiders but thats about it. I hate bugs!!!

I don't need company in the company of you. I don't need love, your love will do. And I've got you and you've got me and this is all you need. I don't need air, I don't need to breathe. I don't need rest, I don't have time to sleep.

Yes, and I freaking HATE

Yes, and I freaking HATE them. D: Especially spiders.

Yes.

It's why I don't anymore...

Well that and dead bugs make me five thousand times more uncomfortable than live ones do... I'll let live bugs crawl on me, as long as I can see them, I chase bees around so I can get pictures of them, I've caught and released tons of bugs, from ladybugs to wasps... That's all dandy. But one time there was this dead ant on my bathroom sink (I have no idea how it got there.) and I needed someone else to clean it up for me because I couldn't get near it without wanting to puke. This kind of thing happens all of the time.

I did have to set a trap for fruit flies recently though, because I couldn't prepare food with fruit flies buzzing around the kitchen. I honestly felt kind of bad but... I need to eat.

I try not to kill them, but

I try not to kill them, but sometimes I do automaticaly, and I feel really bad about it. I never kill spiders because I believe they bring good luck.
Moths, on the other hand, scare me alot, or make me frustrated.
The big moths freak me out a lot, so I kill them a bit more than any other bug. I once grabbed a moth out of the air with one hand.

Sometimes we fail, and sometimes we epic fail. Either way, it's still a WIN.
