So I've been at college since Friday. So far it's been:
1) Overwhelmingly social; we've done about four thousand awkward get-to-know-each-other type events. I think every one of them has had the opposite effect on about 50% of the participants, but it's not bad.
2) Boring and tedious. Aside from the two or three events we have each day, we have nothing to do but fill out Loan/Scholarship info and plan our schedules, which is infinitely more complicated than high school for some reason.
3) Amazing. Meeting new people is getting easier, and it's starting to feel a bit normal. I'm pumped for classes to start. It's unlikely that I'll get all of my choices, but my counselor says I should be able to get Elementary Russian and Calculus. F*cking amazing.
Right now is definitely one of those boring moments. Calm before the storm?

You can do math? I am so
You can do math? I am so upset that you can and I can't. :(
A lot of truth is said in jest.
Eminem
Russian and Calculus...
You're going to enjoy both.
I often fantasize how great it would be to be back there... and start over... in today's culture!
So... are you complementing these with some tough ones to round out your schedule? Physics, maybe? :)
