a few days ago i got a Jim Dunlop capo for my guitar... and it's so awesome! so i've been working on some stuff (capo on the 3rd fret) and i'm getting really crazy good results. i'm now close to finishing a new folk song, it sounds kind of of like 1960's country, which is the sound i've been shooting for. i haven't recorded much in a few weeks so i'm back on track after the sabbatical in which i worked on my classical and baroque music study, still working on that too.

Umm...
Why would a capo affect any of this, though? That's just for people too lazy to transpose, no? Otherwise, you could have plays this same song a few days ago, albeit down three half-steps, no?

no.
i couldn't have done the same song. because it's in a higher key and it sounds great. now onto the ultimate insult... "That's just for people too lazy to transpose, no?" you do not realize you have just said that about a legitimate learned musician. maybe you just don't understand musicians maybe i have misread you? no given that you have written: "Otherwise, you could have plays this same song a few days ago, albeit down three half-steps, no?". i don't understand your motive for posting what you did. remove my account if you will, i just want to get this out of the way. this is why i wrote a previous entry entitled "a thought occurs", because when i share i always get hurt.
uhh...
that was supposed to be humorous. I am a musician.

Yeah... It Could Be Read That Way
I think you should treat it as a friendly taunt --- not a put down.
Anyway... don't run away! We need more real musicians.
btw... Did you ever check out the large number of YouTube selections for Sylvius Leopold Weiss?
hmm
maybe i should,
and yes i've looked up a few interpretations of his work on YouTube.
Fantasia is my favorite.
