Because seriously, I want to major in some kind of international relations/affairs or human rights or global studies and photojournalism. Then go to law school for international law and work for somewhere like amnesty international, and (maybe?) dream dream international criminal court.
Yeah I think it's worthy enough. Oh and I remember you Icarus. =)
So congrats on the acceptance! Here's some advice, if you'd like it:
1) Does the college have any kind of fee/deposit waiver if you can't afford to pay?
2) Any other relatives you could ask for a loan?
3) See if anybody needs a babysitter, house sitter, pet sitter, house cleaner, car washer, tutor, cook etc. for some quick cash.
4) Have a fundraiser. Get friends and family to donate time doing whatever, all to help finance your education and very bright future in service. :)
5) Write to friends, family, friends of friends, etc. explaining your situation and what the money's for. See if anyone would be willing to sponsor you or give you a loan.
6) Can your parents possibly afford to help you a little bit?
7) Anything you own that you can sell off?
I don't know if any of this actually helped. I wish you the best of luck. It's not often that people get the chance to have their dream. And I hope to what ever power may be that you do.
yeah, my parents told me not to worry about it, but i'd like to contribute at least a tiny bit so i don't feel completely helpless...
my uncle's dropping a hundred for me, and surprisingly, one of my sister's friends offered me about thirty.
i mean, if just a few people could spare like....ten dollars....i will cry with happiness...
but i know times are tight, so if you can't, you can't. no hard feelings, scout's honor...
and good on you for taking that route!
so for those of you falling in love
keep it kind, keep it good, keep it right
throw yourself in the midst of danger

But, I once read this book, called My Everest Story. It was basically about this kid, who's now like twenty-something, who at the age of twelve got into climbing, and soon, became world renowned.
But, one of the things that sparked his passion was going on this trek in Nepal.
His parents had given him permission to go, if he could raise the money, which was like 5000$.
So, he mailed letters to all the local businesses, and sent letter after letter, explaining his purpose, and asking for support. And, slowly, he got all of the money he needed to go.
I'm sure there are many local businessmen that would love to help further your education. There are good people.
Ask around a little.
Hope this helps :)
And, I do remember you.
ask local businesses, ask around, people are often willing to donate to a good cause.
also, do like a carwash, get a temp job as summer is rolling around, and you can probably raise the $500 or close to it in a week or two. i know the deadline is close, but you can totally do it.
Mental wounds not healing, driving me insane, i'm goin' off the rails on a crazy train- the ozzman
yeah, no, not in this town. highest unemployment rate in the state (i do believe) so absolutely no chance of getting any sort of job or finding any odd jobs.....
and i mean, i have less than two weeks....
but whatever....something'll work out....
so for those of you falling in love
keep it kind, keep it good, keep it right
throw yourself in the midst of danger

Don't worry, in the eyes of the law, I don't think this is prostitution. Lol.

I had to pay $450 deposite for my university as well, so I understand your pain. Even though I haven't been on for a longgg time, I still remember you! :) You are amazing!
I saw an awesome abercrombie shirt that's $50 bucks yesterday, but I withheld the temptation and decided not to buy it. If it comes down to my shirt vs. your education, it's a no brainer question. I've sent you a friend request on fb, drop me a message, you deserve the $50 and a good education! Take care!
At the end of the day, what matters is not what you have, but who you have become.
