My mom got married far too soon: she met the guy and within a few months wanted to get married, and did less than 6 months later. Now, they have said they went to fast and realize they didn't know each other as well as they thought. I think it is natural, especially for girls, to think about marrying that guy or girl of their dreams... I know when I first met my boyfriend, I thought about it within a few months, though I knew it was just my puppy love-induced mind. Anyway, my basic belief is that it is different for everyone, but a pretty good way to know someone is when you get in a fight with them. The way the fighting and making up goes tells a lot about people. I realize that sounds a bit silly... but after I got in the first argument/fight with my boyfriend, I knew he and I could easily make it together for a life time. I knew I loved all of him-- good and bad.

If it weren't for society, I would probably run off and get married right now. Of course, I'm only 19 and majority would say that is ridiculous. Unfortunately, society makes a rather large impact on my ideas of marriage-- not so much on who should be able to marry, but when a person should marry

Knowing someone only a month and getting engaged is pretty risky... but hey, you never know how things could turn out.
