Confusion...

So there's this guy at school that likes me. He knows I'm lesbian but he still likes me. He flirts with me sometimes and I'm fine with it and I kinda tease him sometimes. Now, I have absolutely no attraction to him, but I do like it when he flirts with me.

This leaves me feeling very confused as of late because he suggests that I'm bi, and the facts (that I don't discourage his flirting) seem to suggest that as well. I know I'm not attracted to him but I'm wondering why it is that I'm acting this way... Is it just the fact that I'm flattered? What do you think?

could be...

The first (and only) time I went on a date, it was with an old friend from my ninth grade class. We crossed paths after not seeing each other for a couple of years, and he asked me out. This was literally just weeks before I started to wonder if I was gay!

Obviously, we didn't last past that one date, but no one had ever asked me out before and I was definitely flattered. Enough to get mixed up and say yes. Love comes in a thousand shades anyway (romantic, family, friend, etc.); it can be hard to tell which is which, no?

Anyway, you're not the only person this has ever happened to. :-)

flattery

this is what I'm just breaking through, I dunno what exactly causes this confusion even though we know we're not sexually/romantically attracted to this person we become attracted to the fact they are attracted to us. In fact that exactly how I spent 11+ years trying to be hetro, by letting people flatter my, and enjoying the attention and confusing that enjoyment of being flattered with attraction to the actual person. very confusing I know *hugs*

I agree with Hakase, it's flattering to you, and that's what you like.

It's very simple ;3
