I just really hate the term homosexual.
It just grates on a nerve I can't even understand.
It's probably because you don't often call straight people heterosexuals, you call them straight.
But still, I just hate it. Gay is fine, it's actually quite a lovely word. I like queer too. Even fag is just fine.
I would rather someone say "oh, he's a fag", rather than "oh, he's a homosexual"
It just kills me.

I don't really like the term homosexual either...but more rather it's so scientific. Like we are specimens to be classified. Well I suppose the term heterosexual is more scientific than straight or..... :D

I don't like how it sounds
I don't like how it sounds like a classification or a mental problem. I don't like the terms "transsexual" or "transgendered" for the same reasons, but then I start running out of things to call myself (especially since I also object to "FTM" for various other reasons.) so I just say "trans" most of the time... Too bad then nobody has any idea what I'm taking about, not that it matters because they all get the wrong idea if I say "transsexual" anyway. :/

As for FTM for me... it sounds too masculine to me, almost... or maybe it's too feminine? I don't even know... it just doesn't fit me. xD

I do like to educate people about trans stuff though, as much as I hate putting myself on the spotlight I think that people often need personal stories to understand this stuff.
