Like Rabbits
So I only joined Oasis twenty three days ago, on new years. Since then, It seems like somebody new joins every other day.
Obviously, I don't consider it a bad thing. But I was wondering; is this normal?
When I first joined, it seemed like the same, relatively small group of Oasians have used this site for a few months, if not years together. So it is confusing to me that this many people sign up and never use it...

Maybe I'm not too qualified...
But based on my 17 week tenor, it seems that this happens sometimes with new people joining in a surge, and then some don't ever use the website again.
Some never use it again.
Some come on once in a while.
And some devote their lives to it, and post every day for years.

i pretty much always on here. my girl on the other hand is sometimes a bit discoraged cause she thinks she has nothing interesting to share. my entire summer was filled with pointless entries..... :|

If I had to correct every misused and misspelled word, my blood pressure would go up to bursting, and I imagine yours would be worse.
Why, when I do one misused word, did you have to decide to correct it?

I figure the people who infrequently misspell words have hope and want to change. The people where's it's just awful all the time, or reads like a text message... no hope. ;-)

Oasis...
typically follows school calendars. People will join a lot when a new semester starts, and then at breaks the audience sometimes changes, and the people who only post when they're at school get replaced with the people who post when they're on break, etc.
I think there are always some lurkers and when there is a wave of joining, it does inspire others.
