We're a family!

Not really, but still.

We had a swim team late-Christmas-party today, with White Elephant gifts!

The first thing I did was listen to a suggestion by a friend and steal from someone a huge bag of candy and energy drinks, only to have that bag stolen by that friend later :D

After the bag was stolen, I took another gift, which I chose simply because of the Winnie the Pooh gift wrap on it, and it turned out to be a girls t-shirt that said "Don't text me, I'm right next 2 u", which I put on.

Then that t-shirt was stolen, so I took another gift which was a musical jewelry box. Fun :D

Then that was stolen, so I got some hot chocolate. Then I traded that for a mug.

Then other people gave me things, so I got a snowman ornament, a nickel with a nail on the bottom (so you can nail it into the ground and people try to pick up the nickel but can't), and the mug.

The other stuff done at that party shall not be mentioned >:D

Now that the fun stuff is over, back to a rant.

I really resent that I have to be accepted for just one of my traits.
My swim coach, when she found out, had to take me aside during practice for a quick "I know, and whatever you decide you are, I support you" discussion.

I just wish people would think "he's black, he's white; she's a woman, he's a man; she's straight, he's gay. So what? We're all a little different"

That you do support me is great, but that you feel obligated to tell me that just makes me mad that our society makes it that I have to be accepted for being me.
