I bought that game that I was talking about a while back, Dragon Age: Origins.....and it's BLOODY awesome. It's probably one of my favourite Xbox 360 games so far, next to Oblivion, of course. It's an RPG and very Lord of The Rings-ish, with Elves, Dwarves, some crappy Humans, and swords and magic. And, like Mass Effect, you can romance someone. In this game, though, you can romance someone of the same-sex no matter which gender you are. So, as a girl, I romanced Leliana and honestly I wasn't expecting much, and actually I didn't even really like her at first, but she REALLY grew on me as a person. Her story about a constellation in the sky is what did it for me, I think. As far as video game characters go, she's pretty awesome, as are all the other characters in this game. Flirting with her is hilarious.

I'm so happy with this game overall, though. I was a bit afraid of buying it because I heard some good and bad things about it, but it's a fantastic RPG. The graphics could be better but the dialog is THE best. I crack up all the time because of the banter between characters and because of the choices they give me of things I can say.

When I was playing it, I came upon this lady who was the captain of a ship and she was a duelist and I happened to ask her if she'd train me to become one. So, she says yes but first she wants to get to know me better by playing a game. So, I fire back with, essentially, "Isn't there a better way we could get to know each other?....Let's go somewhere private " ;) and on my first play through she denied me by saying "Don't take this the wrong way, I'm sure you're an impressive lover, but I'm not looking for a companion right now." I just about cried while laughing when I heard her say that because it was all so weird and unexpected. Then when I went through it on my second play through I just figured she'd say the same thing, I thought it was a default response, but I wanted to hear her say it again BUT this time she said yes and so my character and her walked off to her ship and the scene went black. Haha. Then when they came back she told me how I was better than the guys she's been with lately, they've got hooks for hands and all. HAHAHA. This game is the best :D

It's nice to escape into the game world where anything is possible. Including having an actual adult romantic relationship AND speak my mind. As well as, you know, kick ass :D
