So, uh, I did indeed end up getting shit for calling my friend pretty. This random chick, who usually sits near me at lunch, comes out of nowhere and starts making sarcastic comments about how Irritating Girl thinks I'm in love with her and a bunch of other stuff like that.

WTF? Uh, what makes this any of her business at all?! I didn't even say anything questionable. Some other girl said the same thing, and no one gave HER shit about it! It's not like I expressed my, uh, desires... I didn't say, "Hey, I want to throw you down on the bed and fuck your brains out!" Hell, I didn't even say she was delicious!

I already handled it... I just sent her a private message basically asking her what the fuck her problem was, only in politer terms.

Still, I am SO pissed! My friend has already been online since then, so she saw it. Sigh... Now she DEFINITELY won't want to talk to me. :(

Second, saying somebody's pretty doesn't make them not want to talk to you, I promise. I say that at random points in a conversation, just where there's a lull I'll be like "Hm... you're really pretty, you know that?" and those people still talk to me. You didn't even say it at a random point; it was at a perfectly normal time, so you're most definitely all good. ^^
