Half way there

Been five days since exams first started.

Today was scholarship english,
For Section B, the topic was, "Shakespeare leaves all of his audience satisfied at the end of his plays." I think I did a pretty good analysis. I talked about the Renaissance, growth of humanism and democratisation of literature with the printing press, the implications of social constructs like the natural order and wheel of fate, the concept of free-will and predestination, reader-response theory, the challenging of the Stuart ideology of divine kingship, references to Shakesperean critiques such as John Milton and Andrew Bradley, and discussing the Aristotle precepts of his tragedies - finally drawing the *simplified* conclusion that we should not feel satisfied with the endings because we identify with the flawed characters. That's the jist of it. I think I tried to do too much. I wrote fifteen pages pages in three hours. Section A was okay. Section C was shit house because I ran out of time.

I've sat six exams in less than a week already. That's a full eighteen hours of writing. I've got blisters on my fingers. I swear these are the longest national examinations a high school student can ever sign up for lol.

I have four more. Statistics and modelling tomorrow. Going to sleep now. Night.
