I was, yet again, wondering, what kind of possesion do you have that would be the only thing you would take out of your burning house, and why is this object special? Is it just cool? Or expensive? Or is ther a story about how you came by it? Personally, I would take a glass paperweight that I came by when my art teacher (private class, not school, and years ago) brought in some glass pieces in the dumpster behind the glass blowing place the class was at. It is the most beautiful shade of blue. Incredible.

i would take my computer.

i would take my computer. perhaps that's a sad commentary on modern life, but my computer has *everything* on it--my tens of thousands (literally) of photos, all my writing for school, my diary, music, and a bunch more.

...and if not my computer i would take the box with all my writing journals in it. they don't have much diary sorts of things, but they still represent me as a person and how i've changed over the last 5 years better than anything else.

Possession?

Eh, I wouldn't bother. I'd just get out.

Well, I'm not counting my phone, because I would be using that to call emergency services.

I would bring this BEAUTIFUL floral print couch. Yea, floral print sounds lame. But this couch is MAGNIFICENT. It's plain, yet luxurious, yet utilitarian. And it's GORGEOUS. Jesus christ, I love it so f'ing much.

As you can see, I don't rely that much on material possessions. The materials that really matter to me: antique or inherited objects, cars, my phone and well, that couch.

Okay, I'm serious, that couch IS GORGEOUS. I LOVE IT!

Grow tall sugarcane, eat that soil, drink the rain. But know that they'll chase you if you play their little games. So run, run fast, sugarcane.
