My mom is really pressuring me into going, and now she's getting her boyfriend to do the same. It's next Friday. (I thought it was last week for some reason, but it's not.) Today my mom started insisting that I should go, and then she started having her boyfriend back her up. I don't want to; I really, really don't. But, as I've stated before, my friend is gonna be there, and she makes me so unbelievably happy... I just fucking don't know what to do. I'm 87.3% sure I'll probably end up going, if only to cast my unworthy gaze upon her epic beauty. Yes, I like to sound dramatic. I had a dream about her last night, and it was AWESOME, but it was the "perverted teenager" brand of awesome, so I'll spare you guys the details. XD
I'm kinda sad 'cause the person I would normally go to about something like this has changed so dramatically much in the past few months, and we don't talk often anymore. :( I would probably still give it a shot, though, if she hadn't lost her cell phone...

if Homecoming sucks...
you can just leave, right? What do you have to lose?
I... didn't even think about
I... didn't even think about that. XD I totally can just leave!
what my friends and i did
what my friends and i did last year was we brought a deck of cards and (since homecoming was in the gym) we just went out into the main hallway and played cards when we got bored. but i don't personally like homecoming, especially cuz i really wanna ask K but don't have the guts/confidence to.

Two wrongs don't make a right but three lefts do!
I LOVE homecoming. I don't
I LOVE homecoming. I don't actually go to the dance, but homecoming means spirit week. And I LOVE spirit week.
Last year, we had pajama day, alpine day, twin day, cross-dress day and maroon and white day (school colors). At first we had some resistance with cross-dress day, but that was just because our student council advisor was worried it might not go so well. So she changed it to something lame. However, everyone decided she was a moron, so we didn't put her posters up, but instead, we put out own up and made sure that everyone knew that THURSDAY was CROSS-DRESS DAY. We actually got a good number of people to do it. All of student council did it, and a lot of other people did it.
Personally though, I don't like dances. Especially at school. Everyone gets sweaty and gross. Then there's always the one kid that forgot DO. Or there's the one kid that perspires more than what should be humanly possible. Queer Prom, however, was wicked fun. I danced with tons of cuties ; ]
But really, why does your mother care that much about you going to a silly dance?
Our spirit week is always
Our spirit week is always really lame. D: The middle and high school are combined at my school, but usually only the high school gets to dress up for spirit week, with maybe one or two days for the middle school. And of course, on my first year of high school, they go and pick a bunch of really lame crap... x( I don't think anyone even gets to dress up on Monday because the paper said "uniform required." WTF?
I don't like dances, either. It's such a huge crowd of people concentrated into one small area, which freaks me out a little.
Mother cares so much because I apparently don't leave the house enough... which is probably true.
Hahaha, I'mma probably go to
Hahaha, I'mma probably go to homecoming. Of course, that'll be quite recently after I've come out to my school as transgendered.... there'll be a whole new meaning to my wearing a guy's dress shirt to a dance. :O
Haha, that reminds me of the semi-formal last year... I swear this guy was glaring at me half the time, wondering what the hell my problem was...
You should go, though. As long as your friends are there, dances can actually be fun... ish. >>
"Assets, what are our assets?"
"Well I've got a banana, and in a pinch you could put up some shelves..."
Ahh. Homecoming.
Yeah, the dressing up during spirit week (a.k.a. hell week) was really fun. I never actually went to the games or dances though. Last year, instead of going to the game, I went to the opera my then-best friend, now-girlfriend, was in. She made me go with her to the cast party afterwards and gave me the rose she got for being a cast member. We got together a couple weeks later.
Gooood times.
