Well, since I know there's a *few* of us Skins fans on here I just thought I'd share this:

Skins is going to be remade for the US. Excuse me while I lmao. Seriously? How exactly is this going to work? And it's MTV that's going to do the show? So, how's this going to be Skins when they'll have to remove all the swearing, sex, and drug use that is essential to that show. Plus since it's being made for American teens so there will probably be no gay characters like the British version has had in all it's seasons. No love story like Naomi and Emily's. Ahh....
If you haven't watched the British version you should. It's sooooooo good. The first 2 seasons they had a gay male character and then in the 3rd season they created a new cast that included a lesbian teen and she falls in love with another girl. And it was so sweet and honestly it felt like a pretty realistic love story. Seriously, you NEED to give this show a chance :)

How to describe Skins...well, it's basically a teen show but way better than any of those 90210 shitty shows. Pardon my French. Wait, shitty isn't French :D It revolves around a group of friends. But unlike said shitty shows each episode revolves around one character and you really get to know them. Plus it has an awesomely sweet lesbian teen romance :) :) :) Seriously, it's so nice to watch and it's pretty realistic and the girls have good chemistry. And most of the other characters are likable too. Plus it's freaking hilarious sometimes. They are all really good actors.
I don't want to build it up too much, it's not THE best show everrr. But it is good. Definitely worth giving a shot at least for the gay romance.

skins uK is awesome, but skins uS sounds unoriginal... and most likely will be watered down and not as exciting.

I agree, it will definitely be watered down. They'll probably do away with any gay characters too. I think that's been proven already based on what they did with Naomi's episode. It's a shame :/
Lily Loveless is amazing!!! I can't imagine anyone else playing Naomi. She's my favourite character but Emily definitely grew on me as the show went on.
