When did it change from GLBT to LGBT???? For years it was always GLBT and now suddenly its LGBT? I like the GLBT Better....to be politically correct it should be BGLT or just BGT, What do you guys and gals think????
i've heard/seen it both LGBT and GLBT. i don't have a preference to either... but LGBTQ is probably the most correct of all of these, if you think about it. the Q covers everything that the B, G, L and T can't.
I know this is kind of weird, but I've always kind of thought the sounded like sammichs. I don't know what they would have on them, but it's a thought that comes in my head when I hear it.
Also, alphabetical order would be nice except that I don't think it sounds quite right, like it doesn't have the right ring to it. BGLQT Yeah, and aesthetically it doesn't look as good. xD

I think it's interchangable really. I find lgbt rolls off the tongue easier...but thats just me.

Well, I always thought it might have something to do with the women's movement. I mean, with the whole putting "L" in front. I don't thnk it's a big deal, and I don't get why you are so weirded out about it. But I am weirded out by omitting the "L." I mean, it's two completely different things, G and L. Gays are male. Lesbians are female. Do you really want to omit women from the queer community?
I can see that gay can describe lesbians, but I agree it's important to have the word "lesbian" in there. I mean, if we're going to be completely correct about the whole thing, we'd add in every variation... :P

the L should always be first because lezzies will rule the world one day and everyone just needs to face it! though i do like the Alphabet people idea...it's like the village people!
It's always been LGBT in the UK. I always found it kind of strage that USA had a different one... you would think we would all say either LGBT or GLBT, but its simply the british word... maybe its catching on in the USA?

Only the LGBTQQIGQSTSSA community bothers with this stuff. Outside of our PC enclaves, it is typically just called the gay community.
