So, yes, there are homosexual stereotypes, just as there are stereotypes for all groups towards which others would like to draw attention (often for ill).

Ignorant people generally stereotype gay men as flamboyant and effeminate and, more often than not, sexually promiscuous.
Lesbians on the other hand people generally stereotype us as really butch. Short hair cuts, butch demeanor, sometimes man-hating, ect.
And people tend to think bisexuals are just on the road to gay town. Also I think the general stereotype is that bisexuals sleep around A LOT.
And of course some of these stereotypes can be true for some people but really it's only SOME. Not all gay men are flamboyant. Not all lesbians are butch, there's femmes out there too! And of course not ALL bisexuals sleep around and are promiscuous.
And it's TOTALLY okay if you fit in with some stereotypes, I think. Because if that's who you are than that's who you are. No biggie, just be yourself. The ignorant a--holes treat these stereotypes as if they are a bad thing...but that's only because they fear anything that's different from the "norm".
Except maybe the man-hating stereotype isn't such a great trait :P
to deviate from the norm, someone would have to be able to say "what is normal?" and get a (no pun intended) straight answer...

That's exactly why I put norm in quotations :) Ignorant people think that their views are the normal ones. Where in reality, everyone's views are different. No one can define what's normal, just what's common.
