so.. i'm in paainn...
i was at my cousin's highschool grad party for like.. eight hours? carrying around my three year old cousin for most of it.
i was left in charge of, like, 20 elementary school kids. and they deciced it would be fun to build a bridge across a creek at the edge of the property and then climb up the eroded hillside. and then throw rocks the size of a small horse down the hillside... at me.
in the end, though, i learned how to control them.
i made up a new form of baseball. :)
you roll the ball at the batter, and s/he swings like a golfer, and you have to run around the edges of the court (because we played it on a basketball court) and make it home w/o getting tagged more than two times. probably the most brilliant thing i've ever done in my life. it kept them occupied for hourrssss.
and after that... i had to run the girls in for a potty break, and the one kept going over to her cousin, who was cute, and was like "adam! adam! come play with me!" he seemed kinda shy, though, because when he did get up, she hid behind me and he sat back down, embarassed.
he musta been ... 17? at least. he was wearing an underoath shirt and had awesome black spikey hair. every time i'd look over, he'd kind of blush and then look down.
it's weird, though, because i haven't checked out a guy in aaagessss, and this one was super cute. hell, i'd even date him. but of course, he's sort of family. (not in the creepy incestuous way). like, his mom's brother is married to my cousin and her son was graduating, but adam(cute kid)'s mom's brother isn't the kid who's graduating's father... did that make sense?
anyway...
we set off fireworks. some were those shitty ones that would stay on the ground.. .but some were intense. and illegal. heh. my cousin set one off, and didn't know how loud the explosion was going to be, so he let us sit up close to it (not super close, but close enough)... and when it did go off, all of his guy friends (and me) went "OH SHIT!" and all of their girlfriends screamed. it was kind of funny. the girlfriends were kind of annoying.
so, um, i dunno what else to say.
other than the fact that my lil cousin had a sort-of-breakdown at the thing. he was all fine and joking around, and then he walked up to me and his face kind of contorted and he started bawling. so we went for a walk... and i tried to get him to calm down. it was weird. he's so... sensitive. but, not a bad sensitive. he's a lot like me, and that kind of worries me. i don't want him to end up depressed & suicidal at eleven like i was.

he was upset because our
he was upset because our other cousin is... wellll.... sometimes can be a little bossy bitch. and they're both the same age.
and she was yelling at him and trying to take the bat off of him when it was his turn to hit during baseball, so he dropped it and walked over to me and while he was walking he just.. freaked.
but, yeah, everything else was fun.
except when i had to take some random preschooler inside because he peed his pants. he was just randomly standing in the middle of a basketball game, and i picked him up w/o realizing it...
