I have been talking to a girl online for a few weeks now. It was a little bit random how we came across each other I guess. I basically posted on a forum a few months ago about not having many gay friends, and she replied by sending me a message. It was over a month before I realised she had emailed me, but when I got back to her she was still interested in getting to know me.

So after chatting a few times on msn we decided to meet up last night. I have never met anyone that I have talked to online before. It felt kind of strange because I felt like I already knew her before we met each other. We hung out at a bar for a while chatting and then went to a club to meet a few of my friends. We then went and got some food with my friends. By this stage it was about four in the morning. So the guys headed home. The girl and myself ended up staying in the city centre until 7 this morning. Everywhere around closes at around 2.30am here, so we ended up sitting on the steps outside a bank talking for three hours. It was all a little sureal.

I don't think there will be anything romantic between us. She subtly made it clear that that isn't really what she is looking for, which I am ok with. I definitly think it is the start of something new for me. I'm not sure what it is, but it's something new.
