I am interested in making a website. Is there a website that could help me with this that you might reccomend? All information is greatly appreciated since I am not computer-science-oriented and have some problems with these sorts of things. I think it has something to do with my sibling being a computer science engineer but we'll get into that another day.

A community site? Blog? Site to show off graphic design? Until you say what you want to do, hard to point you in a proper direction. I mean, this site and jeffwalsh.com are both mine, but completely different based on their purpose.

Well...

Sounds too aggressive and random yet.

What are you going to do on the site in the first 2-3 months? Stick to that, first. It is much easier to grow a site than to launch a big site that is too ambitious to keep maintained.

Well...

Depends. A lot of sites fold because they couldn't live up to their promise. Underpromise, overdeliver is always a better strategy.

Yeah, the advice I can give you is to go learn yourself some HTML, online or via book. You can pretty much google for 'HTML tutorial' or something of the like and you should find something.

It's a really simple and easy way to get online.

If you're trying to pay to get your stuff online you need to buy a domain name, hosting space and either design your own website or hire someone else to do so.
