Question

There are hardly any out lesbians at my school. It's so annoying because there are no opportunities to meet anyone at school or ever go out with anyone. Also I can't find any gay teen programs in my community, so that's not an option either. Any suggestions for where to meet other people in the community? I feel sorta lonely.

The obvious solution: CONVERSION!!
Haha... I kid. But seriously, there are probably oodles more dykes than you think there are. Some people stay closeted longer than others, is all. Do you have a GSA at your school? Can you start one? They tend to become gay meccas, of sorts, so that'd be a good place to meet people. Do any schools around yours have GSAs? Talk to people there, ask what they do community-wise. I'm sorry that you don't have any sort of community center, but the GSA search is a good place to start.

Maybe no one at your school

Maybe no one at your school is out because no one else is? Idk if you're out at school, but if you are then there are probably closeted gay people that look up to you and watch how others treat you.

Some local colleges might have things similar to GSA's if no high schools do.

I agree

I'm out to pretty much everybody at my school, so many people come out to me because they need to feel safe and like they have someone who's in the same boat

gay meccas haha =) thanks

gay meccas haha =) thanks for the advice! I am in the GSA at my school, but there are only like 7 people 4 of which are straight, 2 gay guys, and a girl who wears the same red and black cloak and cat ears everyday to school haha. she's nice but... not really my type. Anyways your right about how people look up to you if you're out. I certainly had older students I looked up to (until they graduated.) maybe I need to start being more openly out. Right now all I have is gay pride pins and the interested section on facebook to let people know. Anyways thanks again.
