Did anyone watch Ellen today? She had her wife Portia de Rossi on the show today. I thought the whole episode was really sweet and funny and it was really nice to see a REAL lesbian couple on TV. And I think that it's awesome because all those straight people out there get to see a real life gay couple that is normal and cute and funny. Instead of those crazy ass lesbians on The L Word! I kid, I kid. I <3 The L Word. :P
They talked, they played The Newlywed Game vs a straight couple, and then at the end of the show they sang "I've Got You, Babe" together.
I have to say it was pretty awesome just to see them interact and be like a real couple and to just be. You know? For them to be able to talk about being a couple and the fact that they are married(or were, depending on whatever the hell is happening in California :P). I thought it was pretty sweet.

Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things. Some shall be pardoned, some punished. Never was a story of more regret than this of Juliet and her fair Juliet.
Umm...
I don't know that the 16th richest woman on TV and her actress girlfriend are really the definition of normal. Certainly makes normal rather unattainable for... like everyone else, no?
They might be down to earth or something, but normal?

Down to earth was what I
Down to earth was what I meant. As in they aren't psychos/killers like a lot of the lesbian/gay/bi characters we see on TV and in the movies. Normal as just two human beings that are attracted to and love each other.

Oh...
So a lesbian comic playing herself on TV and her girlfriend, also not playing a role in this context, talking about their everyday life are more authentic than fictional dramatic characters on gay soap operas. OK, I agree with that. :-)

Well, seriously think about
Well, seriously think about it. The only lesbians/gays some of these people see are the ones on TV and in movies. Or they rely on stereotypes. I think it's nice for people to be exposed to a real life couple that's all I'm saying.
