Good Gay websites

AoiYumi's picture

Does anybody know any good reference sites for GLBTQ people? For stuff like sexuality, coming out, and other good info a person new to the community could use?

It would be appreciated.

Thank you

GO to the coming out page

GO to the coming out page here,
up the top,

on that page there is a few links

It is thyself, mine own self's better part;
Mine eye's clear eye, my dear heart's dearer heart;
My food, my fortune, and my sweet hope's aim,
My sole earth's heaven, and my heaven's claim.

hmm

I went to www.outproud.org a lot right when I started questioning. There are some good online brochures and articles there. It hasn't been updated in a REALLY long time, but it's still a good source of basic info.

I think the PFLAG site has some info as well.

I don't remember the other sites I looked at back then, but I found that once I'd read all the introductory brochures several times, I started to be more interested in sites like Oasis. I needed something that went beyond "it's OK, you're normal, this is how you might be able to tell," and things like that.

These websites aren't really

These websites aren't really about coming out but could definately help you with 'being new to the community'.

afterellen.com (lesbian/bi stuff mostly, i love it)

afterelton.com (gay guy stuff, never really checked it out but as far as i can tell its the men equivalent to afterellen)

Theres a lot off good articles and videos and most, if not all relate to lgbt stuff.
Hope these helped :)

forgot one...

http://www.alterheros.com/english/
But, like the others I posted, I rarely go on it anymore.
Also: a few dead links, and every so often you'll accidentally slip over to a page that's written in French (the site is Canadian). Which is fine, except I don't speak French. :-)
