My son was ADD and Depressed at the same time. He would go thur mood swings like a clock pendulum every hour it would seem. Its not unusual at all for all people to do this at some time in theirs lives. You are not alone in this type of feelings. You need to find out why you are sad? Did a dream bring back memories that you didn't like and subconsciously you relived them as you were waking up. That is usually the most common type of sadness upon waking. As far as being hyper, are you always hyper at other times? If not, what set you off? Did you feel hyper at the same time as you were sad? or not? Ask your self these questions, reason them out, and you will get an answer to your own question.
