It is thyself, mine own self's better part;
Mine eye's clear eye, my dear heart's dearer heart;
My food, my fortune, and my sweet hope's aim,
My sole earth's heaven, and my heaven's claim.
-William Shakespeare, The Comedy Of Errors
i liked your description as to why you liked art, and i really liked the part about greek mythology...
and your paintings are amazing. :)

Free me, pray to the fayth in the face of the light

Who knew there was a side like this to Adam? I didn't. :P
But, honestly. Your paintings are gorgeous! I love Purple Death. That one's really neat. And the Patron Of Unspoken Words and The one that was before that were really awesome.
Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things. Some shall be pardoned, some punished. Never was a story of more regret than this of Juliet and her fair Juliet.
i have to be honest. i rarely enjoy 'art'...it's one of the reasons i can't read comic books, despite how much i love them (yes, that makes no sense...and i'm a die hard x-men fan!!). so i went to your page mostly out of boredom.
not to sound overly dramatic, but i came away moved. like i said, i don't know art, so i can't tell you what exactly it is about your paintings that moved me so, but...so many are so beautiful. the depth and emotion you exrpess in line and color is breathtaking.
lesbian, purple death, hibiscus, Alexander Nathanial Adam, patron of unspoken words, Sleep and Death--Brothers...and the first six from Love Me. i think those are all my favorites, but there wasn't a single one that i didn't like.
AND you just convinced me that it really is time that i revisit the greek myths that i used to love. my 9th grade english teacher murdered them for me, and i've resisted going back to them for a few years, despite having loved them since i was a little kid.
*hug* yup, you're pretty awesome. :D

1) could i post a some of your paintings on my facebook page? with proper acknowledgement to their godlike creator, of course.
2) what does your title say? and which language is it in? i stopped going to temple LONG before i started learning any hebrew (or even how to recognize it...if that is, in fact hebrew....lol).

Wow. I like your style. I think some of my favorites are Purple Death, Christian, and Sleep and Death-Brothers, but Narcissus is hands-down my favorite. Keep painting! It's beautiful.
and ferrets: nobody related to me is blonde except my sister who's a recessive gened freak, and my siberian aunt and her daughter....but er daughter is more red head with green eyes, and i did just find out that i've got aboriginal blood on the side of my father...but other than that....NO!
Adam, this is beautiful... I wish i could get some of this art, it really seems to reach somewhere quite deep... If you did that on purpose, good, if you don't see what I'm saying, even better. This is truly a kind of art that I like...
did you have a model for these? Because The body structures are generally correct...
I need to find a paintbrush and canvas, I have wanted to try my hand a painting for a long time...
thanks tim...and as for u'r question...yes and no, they're a real person but not a physical depiction of him...more a symbolic one. the body's are based on correct proportions and what not, but also heavily stylised. bottom line is i know very well how to paint the human body but have no desire to paint it "correctly", my knowledge of it came from hundreds of life drawing sessions which i highly reccomend to anyone wanting to do a little art.
Most of my drawings have no real body structure to the people, there is one thing that I draw over and over again, a white body with no features at all except the outline, and a round head that looks somewhat like a skull. That and people or skeletons in suits, and the occasional demon or suicide, my art is pretty limited when I have only a pen in hand...
I don't know if mine is stylized, alls I know is that people have threatened to put me on suicide watch, so I've stopped showing them my drawings.
