I've never been able to talk about this with anyone before, mostly because I'm sure nobody would appreciate it as much as I do.
Do you ever just watch yourself write (assuming you're writing with a pencil) and watch how the graphite lays itself exactly where you put it and are just amazed by its beauty? Its like there's nothing and then, all of a sudden, there are words. I suppose this idea could be translated over to pen usage but I don't like pens so I wouldn't have the same awe over writing with pen.
Next time you're writing with a pencil, for me, just notice the lines that your pencil makes.

i do that when i'm writing in-class essays. it's rather distracting, but also pretty amazing. but then i start thinking existential thoughts about what it means to appear and exist at all, which scares me, so i try not to.
